The MODERN MOUNTAINS Story
In many ways, this band has been around for nearly a decade.
Band members Aaron Blanton (vocals/guitar), Ben Davis (vocals/bass), Nate Sousa (vocals/guitar), and Jared Nickless (drums) have been making music together for years. Blanton and Davis toured the world while in CCM band By The Tree. Sousa, Blanton, and Nickless have been writing, recording, and touring in some capacity since 2007—adding Davis (back) into the mix in 2012.
And now they've come together to create what already was but never had a name: MODERN MOUNTAINS—complete with the release of their first single in December of 2022, "Highest of Heaven," a bright, catchy Christmas song.
